Post #5: Character Analysis #2: Foil Characters

Overview

In this post, you will be contrasting the character you analysed in your Character Analysis #1 post with his or her foil character.

Remember

A foil is a character that shows qualities that are in contrast with the qualities of another character to highlight the traits of the other character.

Task

  • Review the character that you discussed in your first character analysis post
  • Decide who this character's foil is
  • Write a paragraph discussing the differences between the two characters
  • Write a second paragraph that summarizes how the differences of these characters contribute to the plot of Much Ado About Nothing (how these characters keep the plot interesting)
  • Be sure to include AT LEAST 2 QUOTES from the text that you feel demonstrate that the characters you are discussing are foils
  • Include an image or images that you feel captures the qualities of the characters you contrast in this post

Due: Monday 5/5/14
